Baptism

The Episcopal Church baptizes people of all ages.  We recognize that a relationship with God through Jesus Christ is experienced differently for different people.  It may be something you learn on your mother's lap.  It may be an adult conversion experience.  Whatever the psychological experience, we believe it is cemented through the sacrament of baptism: a sacrament ordained by Christ himself.

Some days of the church year are particularly appropriate for baptism:  Easter, Pentecost, All Saints' Day, for example.  If you are thinking about baptism for yourself or a child, please contact Vicar Jaime, (503) 997-1651, or motherjaime@gmail.com.

Marriage

St. Mary's is a beautiful church, that seats 200 people.  Vicar Jaime is happy to perform marriages for people who intend to make the Episcopal Church part of their lives together.

Burial

One of the humbling and grace-filled things about ministry in the Episcopal Church is how many people entrust us with burial and memorial services.  The service of Christian burial is an Easter service, in that it affirms that not even death can separate us from the love of God, families also trust us to be respectful of the diverse religious views found within a family.  If someone you love dies in the Woodburn area, and their or your religious background makes an Episcopal/Anglican burial service appropriate, please do not hesitate to call St. Mary's.
