Mary & Elizabeth's Clothing Closet
St. Mary's has formed a joint venture with Elizabeth Waite to create and operate a community children's clothes closet. Elizabeth operates the clothes closet which is located in the space above the church Parish Hall.
A large variety of children's clothing items including jackets, pants, and shirts are available upon referral from local public or social service agencies. The Woodburn School District is participating with grant money and donations of clothes for homeless children. ECW members of St. Mary's are helping in the sorting and washing of the clothes. As of January 5th, 2010, the clothing closet has helped over 50 children and three families who suffered house fires.
